The early years of a 20 year old girl in Guinea. A day in her life when she becomes aware of her lack of concern can play some dangerous tricks on her. It’s the story of a girl who lives at night, a universe of multitude encounters where everything happens very fast.
No time to think about Aids, as if it were an unreal disease. She sleeps a lot, takes refuge in sleep because she is starting to be afraid.
Physically, her state deteriorates. Her features grow hollow, she ages. She looks at herself in the mirror more and more often.
And there are people she mixes with, nightbirds who want to listen to because you know they say much more, just like that, without thinking without knowing if they are answering the questions, with their way of looking at things and expressing themselves in simple terms.
It’s the frantic search of these nocturnal figures who dream of adding a loving dimension to an all too fleeting night.
Little by little thisgirl is abandoned by her family : she is relegated to a separate room and she wants to wait for the end, alone.
